In the cozy post office, the worker is hard at work sorting all the mail into containers and sacks, while upstairs there is only time for the postman a break before going out in the car to take with all the traditional letters and gifts. Just in time for the holiday season, Lego has released a new Christmas/Winter-themed set to add to their growing collection. The 2011 set is this Winter Village Post Office, which features a quaint, highly detailed, 2-story post office (complete with display, external mailboxes and a snow-covered roof. The set also includes an antique-style red postal truck, a bandstand for musicians and a park bench, as well as seven minifigures.

Complexity - The set includes 822 pieces, and nearly all of them are very tiny. It didn't help that the bags of pieces were not numbered for modular assembly. It took two and a half hours to build this one, but with a glass (or two) of wine and some Christmas music playing, it was a pleasant task. As always, my son assembled the minifigures.
Playability - We bought this set - like the previous Lego Holiday sets - for display and decoration, not for play, but my son did get to play with it a bit (he especially liked the truck). It's a reasonably sturdy set, but you can tell it was designed with a display function in mind.
This is a beautiful Lego set, and a fantastic addition to the Lego Winter Village series. I'm already looking forward to next year's set.

Not sure it's worth the $69.99 MSRP - but I got it on sale here at Amazon so my rating is based on the cheaper price. The set is divided into numbered bags and has a very easy to follow manual. It took about two hours to put it together and I enjoyed every minute of it. I wouldn't recommend this set for children under 13 - this is a more complicated build with lots of small pieces.
It's a must have if you are collecting sets of the holiday buildings.
